Porchlight; An Event Company is proud to share an exciting highlight from this year’s Team Inc. Community Cook-Off. Our catering coordinator, Payton, teamed up with her friend Mary to represent Porchlight in the competition—and together, they earned 2nd place in the “Best Entrée” category.
Their dish- crispy sesame chicken over fried rice– stood out among a strong lineup of talented participants. It was a well-deserved win and a great reflection of the skill and creativity they brought to the table.
In addition to competing, Porchlight also contributed a raffle basket in collaboration with Jaded Creations and Alyssa Michel Photography- another way we were proud to support the cause and help drive additional fundraising throughout the event.

While we’re incredibly proud of their achievement, what makes this even more meaningful is the purpose behind the Community Cook-Off.
Previously known as ‘Men Who Cook,’ this event features dozens of local “chefs” for unlimited tastings, drinks, music, and raffles- all supporting programs that serve individuals and families throughout the community, including:
- Meals on Wheels
- Housing/Basic Needs Assistance
- Energy & Heating Support
- Family & Community Services
These programs impact over 19,000 individuals and families each year, making events like this essential to keeping support accessible for those who need it most.

This year, the event raised over $70,000. Being part of something that has a direct, positive impact locally is exactly why we love getting involved in initiatives like this.
We’re honored to have had representation at such an important event—and even more proud to see our team recognized among the best.
Congratulations again to Payton and Mary on their effort and accomplishment, and thank you to everyone who helped make this event such a success!
