If you’ve worked with Porchlight, you already know how important food is to the guest experience—and no one understands that better than Payton.

As our Catering Coordinator, Payton helps clients navigate one of the most important (and sometimes overwhelming) parts of event planning: creating a menu and finding a caterer that fits their vision, budget, and experience goals.

On April 25th, she’ll step out from behind the scenes and into the spotlight- bringing her creativity and passion to The TEAM Inc. ‘Community Cook-off,’ one of the region’s most impactful annual fundraisers. The event brings together local talent, creativity, and generosity for a night that truly makes a difference.

Previously known as ‘Men Who Cook,’ this event features dozens of local “chefs” for unlimited tastings, drinks, music, and raffles- all supporting programs that serve individuals and families throughout the community, including:

• Meals on Wheels
• Housing/Basic Needs Assistance
• Energy & Heating Support
• Family & Community Services

These programs impact over 19,000 individuals and families each year, making events like this essential to keeping support accessible for those who need it most. 

One of the most exciting parts of the night? Those in attendance get to decide who wins by sampling dishes from each participant and vote for their favorite- turning the entire event into an interactive, high-energy experience.

We’re also excited to be collaborating with some of our amazing vendor partners to put together an event-planning themed raffle basket. This package will feature a mix of services, perks, and exclusive offerings designed to elevate any celebration- all while supporting the incredible programs TEAM Inc. provides to our community. It’s our way of giving back, supporting fellow vendors, and helping make a meaningful impact.
