Quick Start Guide

Before You Start

For the best experience, use the Porchlight Photo Booth in Safari on an iPhone.

Turn the phone sideways into landscape orientation before starting. Full Screen Mode is recommended during events.

Add the Photo Booth to Your Home Screen

For the best experience, you can add the Porchlight Photo Booth directly to your iPhone Home Screen and launch it like an app.

1. Open the Photo Booth webpage in Safari.
2. Tap the Share button in Safari.
3. Scroll down and select Add to Home Screen.
4. Confirm the name of the Photo Booth.
5. Tap Add.

The Photo Booth will now appear on your Home Screen like an app. Simply tap the icon whenever you’re ready to use it.

Before your event, open the Home Screen version and make sure camera access is allowed.

Taking Photos

1. Open the Porchlight Photo Booth.
2. Turn the phone sideways.
3. Allow camera access if prompted.
4. Tap Start Photo Booth, or tap the camera area if Touch-to-Start is enabled.
5. Follow the countdown on screen.
6. The booth will automatically take three photos.
7. Change your pose between each photo.
8. After the final photo, the booth will create your photo strip and display the celebration screen.

Getting Your Photos

When the finished strip appears, select Share Photos to open your phone’s sharing options.

From there, the photo strip can be saved to the phone, sent by text, AirDropped, emailed, or shared through other compatible apps.

Select Print Photos to prepare a 4×6 photo containing two identical 2×6 photo strips. Printing options and compatibility depend on the phone and photo printer being used.

Select Retake Photos to begin another session.

One-Time Premium Event Access: $29

One-time access is intended for a single event and gives you access to the Premium customization features for that event.

Using Premium/Attendant Mode

Once Premium access has been activated, tap the settings icon and enter the attendant access information provided by Porchlight.

Make your desired changes and select Save Settings. Your Photo Booth settings will be saved on that device.

We recommend setting up and testing all Premium options before guests begin using the booth.

During an Event

Keep the phone in landscape orientation and use Full Screen Mode whenever possible.

Safari provides the best experience. For a more app-like setup, launch the Photo Booth from the Home Screen shortcut instead of navigating to the webpage each time.

After each session, the booth can automatically reset for the next guest based on the reset time selected in Attendant Mode.
