Our event crew is an essential part of our commitment to supporting clients on the day of their event. As independent contractors, crew members have the flexibility to work when they choose, due to the sporadic nature of the event industry. This contractor model allows Porchlight to provide clients with a dedicated, experienced team for their events.
Duties
- Set-up of decorations and equipment
- Providing customer service to guests
- Answering questions about the event as-needed
- Greeting, guiding, and escorting guests
- Periodically checking in with guests and tables to ensure a positive experience
- Maintaining venue cleanliness
- Emptying garbages
- Cleaning bathrooms as-needed
- Clearing tables
- Assisting the Day-Of/Event Coordinator
Compensation
| Base Compensation | Lump-sum of $150 (five hours of work minimum) |
| Overtime | Lump-sum equivalent to $50/hour for each additional hour worked over five hours |
| Bonus Compensation | +$5.00 per project after Crew Training +$5.00 per project if ServSafe certified |
| Travel | $0.20/mile (Limit 100 miles round trip from Crew Members home of record) |
| Meals | $20.00 per project, unless a free meal is provided |
