A recent client reached out to us after being referred by a past couple. They were planning an event and needed a complete rental package – a tent, tables, chairs, and a dance floor. The couple also opted for our sound-activated DMX lighting system and speaker rental. Prior to the event setup, we provided a consultation that included a to-scale design concept. The plan called for two 20’x20′ tents, with a 10’x30′ tent placed on each side.
We also coordinated with the rental vendor each time there were changes in the number of guests expected to attend.
Securing the tents was a crucial first step before setting up the rest of the equipment. Weather posed the biggest challenge during this project. As we assembled the four tents, scorching temperatures over 100 degrees forced the crew to take frequent breaks to rehydrate. We had planned to complete the setup the following day, but Mother Nature had other plans.
A severe thunderstorm swept through the area overnight, damaging some of our tents. Fortunately, we had spare parts on hand, allowing us to quickly repair the tents and ensure they were safe for use.
The following day, we completed the set-up and did a final check the morning of the event. The event was a resounding success, with everyone having a great time. The client was thrilled with the results.
